CANCELLED - When We Were Arabs: A Jewish Family’s Forgotten History Online
Free and open to the public! Massoud Hayoun, a journalist based in Los Angeles, will discuss his book, When We Were Arabs: A Jewish Family’s Forgotten History, a memoir that examines his family’s Jewish, Arab, and North African heritage in what Kirkus Reviews calls “a moving and intriguing family history.” In 2020, Hayoun’s book won The Arab American National Museum’s Evelyn Shakir Non-Fiction Award, a category of the annual Arab American Book Awards. It was also named an NPR (National Public Radio) “Favorite Book of 2019.”
